A, B, C, D are four consecutive odd integers and their average is 42. What is the product of B and D?

    Answer:(3) 1845
    Explanation:-

    Let be the four consecutive odd numbers are = X, X + 2, X + 4, X + 6.
    According to the question,
    (X + X + 2 + X + 4 + X + 6)/4 = 42

    4X + 12 = 42 x 4
    4X = 168 – 12
    4X = 156
    X = 156/4
    X = 39
    Therefore, the value of numbers B and D = 39 + 2 and 39 + 6
    = 41 and 45
    Thus, the product of B & D = 41 x 45 = 1845
