If a shopkeeper purchase cashewnut at Rs.250 per kg and sells it at Rs.10 per 50 grams, then he will have:

    Answer: (3) 20% loss
    Explanation:-

    The Cost price of 1 kg cashewnut = Rs.250
    The selling price of 50 g cashewnut = Rs.10
    The selling price of 1 kg cashewnut = 20 x 10 = Rs.200
    Loss = Cost price – Selling price
    Loss = 250 – 200 = Rs.50
    Loss% = Loss x 100/Cost price
    Loss% = 50 x 100/250 = 20%

    Hence, the answer is (3) 20% loss.
