    Keratin Protein is present in human hair and nails.

    Keratin is a fibrous structural protein and making up the outer layer of human skin. It is the key structural component of the hair and nail. It is find in horns, nails, claws, and hooves of animals.

    Keratin are two types—

    A .α-Keratin: It is found in horns and claws of animals.

    B. β-Keratin: It is found in nails, feather, beaks and claws of the birds.
