‘Find the value of ‘p’ if the roots of the following quadratic equation are equal-
(p-3)x²+6x+9=0
(a) 4
(b) -4

    Answer: (a) 4 

    Solution:-
    (p – 3)X^2 + 6 X + 9 = 0 

    Taken, option (a) 4
    Then, p = 4
    (4 – 3)X^2 + 6 X + 9 = 0 
    X^2 + 6 X + 9 = 0 
    X^2 + 3 X + 3 X + 9 = 0
    X (X + 3)  + 3 (X + 3) = 0
    (X + 3) (X + 3) = 0 

    Then, the value of p is 4. 

    Hence, the correct answer is option (a) 4.
