    1. The member of Parliament seek information about the working of the government.

    The first hour of the Parliament is known as the Question hour. In this hour, the member can ask questions on every aspect of administration and Governmental activity. This Hour is an important part of the Parliament proceedings. Through the Question Hour the Government is able to quickly feel the pulse of the nation and adapt its policies and actions accordingly.  There are four types question in the Question Hour: Starred, Unstarred, Short Notice Questions addressed to private members.
