What will be the Radius of the Smaller Circle? If

Two circles touch externally. The sum of their areas is 130 p sq. cm and the distance between their centers is 14 cm. The radius of the smaller circle is:

    Answer: (4) 3 cm

    Explanation:-

    Let the radius of smaller circle be r and bigger circle is R.
    According to the question,
    R + r = 14 cm = the distance between their centers of the circles.
    The sum of their areas = 130 pai sq.cm
    Then, Pai (r + R)^2 = 130 pai
    (r + R)^2 = 130
    Put R = 11 and r = 3
    Then, (121 + 9) = 130
    Then, the radius of the smaller circle is 3 cm.

    Hence, the answer is (4) 3 cm.
