    The source of river vaigai in the hills of Amarkantak. The means of Amarkantak in Sanskrit is “eternal source”. It is indicates the joint with the sacred river Narmada and Narmada is one of the most sacred river and unique river of India. 

    It is located at 22.67degree north &  81.75 degree in East in the state of Madhya Pradesh in India. It is situated at 1048 m or 3438 ft height. 

    The total population of this city is 7074.  It is a holy city of Hidus.
