    Copernicus

Nicolaus Copernicus discovered that Earth Revolves Round the Sun.  Nicolaus Copernicus (19 February 1473 – 24 May 1543) was an astronomer, mathematician, translator, and physicist among other things. Nicolaus Copernicus sometimes called the father of modern astronomy because of his Heliocentric theory. The astronomical model that Copernicus developed was called Heliocentrism. It has the Sun motionless at the center of the Universe while the Earth and other planets rotate around it in circular paths.
