What is the Length of Second Train? If

Two trains cross each other in 1 minute moving in the same direction at the speeds of 40 km/hr. and 22 km/hr respectively. If the length of the first train is 125 metres, find the length of the second train?

    Answer: (3) 175 m

    Explanation:-
    Let the length of the second train = X m.
    The speeds of the train = 40 km/hr.  and  22 km/hr.

    According to the question,
    (125 + X ) / (40 – 22) x 5/28 = 60
    (125 + X)  x 18 /18 x 5 = 60
    (125 + X) / 5 = 60
    125  + X = 60 x 5
     125 + X = 300
     X = 300 – 125
    X = 175
    Then, the length of the train is 175 m

    Hence, the answer is (3) 175 m.
