    Answer:  (2) 17%

    Explanation:-
    Let the cost price of an article = Rs. 100

    A shopkeeper fixes the price of an article at 30%  higher than actual cost.
    Then marked price of the article = 100  + 100 x 30/100
     = 100 + 30
     = Rs. 130

    If he sells it at 10% discount on marked price.
    Then selling price of same article = 130 – 130 x 10/100
     = 130  -13
     = Rs.117

    Then percentage of profit = 117 – 100 
      = 17%

    Hence, correct answer is option (2) 17%.
