Two trains X and Y start from jodhpur to jaipur and from jaipur to jodhpur respectively. After passing each other they take 4 hr 48 min and 3 hr 20 min to reach jaipur and jodhpur respectively. If X is moving at 45 km/hr, the speed of Y is

    Answer: (4)  64.8 km/hr
    Explanation:-
    The speed of the train X = 45 km/hr.
    Time taken by train X to cover distance = 4 hr 48 min = 4 + 48/60
    = 4 + 4/5 = 24/5 hr.
    Covered distance by train X in 24/5 hr  = 24 x 45/5 = 24 x 9 = 216 km.
    covered distance by train X before cross = covered distance by train Y after cross       (Given in question)
    Then, Time taken by train Y to cover 216 km = 3 hr + 20 min
    = 3 + 20/60 = 3 + 1/3 = 10/3 hr.
    Then, the speed of train Y = 216/(10/3)
    = 216 x 3/10
    = 64.8 km/hr.
    Hence, the answer is (4) 64.8 km/hr.
