    1. Answer: (C) 2 : 1

    Explanation:-
Expenditure on food = 120 degree
    Savings = 60 degree

The ration of expenditure on food to savings = 120/60
    = 2/ 1
    = 2 : 1

    Hence, the answer is (C) 2 : 1.

    2. Answer:  (a) Rs. 12, 000

    Explanation:-
The expenditure on education = 70 degree
And expenditure on housing = 54 degree

    According to the question,
    (70 – 54 ) degree = 1600
    16 degree = 1600
    Therefore, 1 degree = 1600/16
    = Rs.100

Then, expenditure on food = 120 degree
    = 100 x 120
    = Rs. 12000

Hence, the answer is (a) Rs. 12,000.

    3. Answer:  (d) Rs. 72, 000

    Explanation:-
    The monthly income = Rs. 36, 000
    Monthly savings = 36000 x 60/360
    = 36,000 /6
    = Rs. 6000
    Therefore, yearly savings = 12 x 6, 000
    = Rs. 72, 000

Hence, the answer is (d) Rs. 72,000.
