    The first Indian satellite, Aryabhatt, was launched on 19th April,  1975. It was built by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). It’s name was after the great Indian astronomer of the same name. It has made for gain experience and operating a satellite in space.  This satellite re-entered in the Earth’s atmosphere on 11th February 1992.
