A man decides to pave with square tiles his hall which is 4.8 metres long and 5.38 metres wide. Find the largest size of the tile that he could use

    Answer: (4) 2 cm

    Explanation:-
    The length of a hall = 4.8 meters = 4.8 x 100 = 480 cm
    The breadth of a hall = 5.38 meters = 3.58 x 100 = 358 cm

    The factors of  480 =  2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 3 x 5
    The factors of 358 = 2 x 179
    The largest size of a tile = the H C F of 480 and 358 = 2

    Then, the edupil largest size of tile is 2 cm.

    Hence, the answer is (4) 2 cm.
