What is The Length of Its Sides ?

If the sides of an equilateral triangle be increase by 1 m its area is increased by √3 sq m. The length of its sides is

Answer: (3) 3/2 m
Explanation;-
The side of a equilateral triangle  be increase = 1 m
Formula-
The area of a equilateral triangle =Sqrt.3 x a2/4
Where, a = die of a equilateral triangle
side increase by 1m then, area increased by sqrt.2
Then, sqrt.3 (a + 1)2/4 – sqrt.3 x a2 /4 = sqrt.2
sqrt.3 [(a + 1)2 – a2]/4 = sqrt.3
sqrt.3[a2 + 1 + 2a – a2]/4 = sqrt.3
sqrt.3[2a + 1] = 4 x sqrt.3
2a + 1 = 4
2a = 4 – 1
a = 3/2 m
Hence, the length of the side is 3/2 m.
