The population of a town decrease at the rate of 4% per annum. If its present population is 57600, then the difference in population of the town two years before and after one year from now will be

    Answer: (3) 7004
    Explanation:-
    The present population of a town = 57600
    The population decreased by 4 % every year.
    The population of town before one year = 57600 x 104 /100
    = 59904
    The population before two years = 59904 x 104/100
    = 62300
    The population after one year = 57600 x 96/100
    = 55296
    the difference in population of the town two years before and after one year = 62300 – 55296
    = 7004
    Hence, the answer is (3) 7004.
