In a groups of ducks and buffaloes, the total number of legs is 24 more than twice the number of heads. Find the total number of buffaloes ?

    Answer:  (4) 12

    Explanation:-
    Let the number of ducks be X and the number of buffaloes be Y

    The total number of legs is 24 more than twice of the number of heads.
    Then, 4 Y + 2 X = 2 (X + Y) + 24
    4Y + 2 X = 2 X + 2 Y + 24
    4 Y – 2 Y + 2 X – 2 X = 24
    2 Y = 24
    Y =  24/2
    Y = 12

    Then, the number of buffaloes Y = 12.

    Hence, the answer is (4) 12.
