A sum of money is divided among A, B, C and D in the ratio of 3:5:8:9 respectively. If the share of D is ₹ 1,872 more than the share of A, then what is the total amount of money of B and C together?

    Answer: (1) ₹ 4056

    Explanation:-
    The ratio of A, B, C and D = 3: 5: 8: 9
    Let the share’s A, B, C and D = 3 X, 5 X, 8 X and 9 X

    If the share of D is ₹ 1,872 more than the share of A,
    Then, 9 X – 3 X = 1,872
    6 X = 1872
    X = 1872/6
    X = 312

    Then, the share’s B = 5 X = 5 x 312 = 1560 and the share’s B = 8 X = 8 x 312 = 2496

    The total amount of money edupil of B and C = 1560 + 2496
    = ₹4056

    Hence, the answer is (1) ₹4056
