Tropical wet Evergreen Forests
The tropical evergreen forests usually occur in areas receiving more than 200 cm of rainfall and having a temperature of 15 to 30 degree Celsius. Wet evergreen forests are found in the south along the Western Ghats and the Nicobar and Andaman Island and all along the north-eastern region (Arunachal Pradesh & Meghalaya). These forests are found on the Western coast, Assam, lower slopes of the Eastern Himalayas, Orissa and Andaman’s. The trees that are found her are the jackfruit, betel nut palm, jamun, mango and hillock.
