    Tulsidas wrote Shri Ram-Charit-Manas (श्रीरामचरितमानस ) during the reign of Mughal Emperor Akbar.

    Tulsidas started writing this greatest Hindu ‘Granth’ on the birth day of Lord Shree Ram, i.e. Chaitra Navmi (9th day of Hindu month Chaitra) in year 1574. The life span of Akbar is 1556 – 1605.

    1. Ramcharitmanas was written in Avadhpuri, Ayodhya place in Uttar Pradesh.
    2. It is written in Awadhi dialect.
