    Answer: (1). Vulcanization.

Rubber is naturally occurring polymer having properties of elastic, it goes the long range of reversible extension even when a small force is applied on it. It is also known as elastomers. the natural rubber is made by latex, it is a colloidal solution of rubber and water. trees of rubber are mostly found in tropical and sub-tropical countries like India, south America, Sri Lanka, Malaysia especially in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka.

Vulcanization is a chemical process for convert natural rubber to the related polymer. by an addition of sulphur. Vulcanized material are flexible and have super mechanical properties. The soft rubber contains less than 5% of sulfur. The vulcanization process is discovered by Charles Goodyear in 1839.
