What is the Smallest and Biggest Integers?

The sum of three consecutive integers is 1350, The sum of the smallest and the biggest integers is:

    Answer: (a) 900
    Explanation:-
    Let be the three conjunctive numbers = X, X + 1, X +2
    According to the question,  X + X + 1 + X + 2 = 1350
    3X + 3 = 1350
    3X = 1350 – 3 = 1347
    X = 1347/3 = 449
    thus, the smallest number is 449 and the biggest number is 449 + 2 = 451
    The sum of the smallest and biggest numbers = 449 +451 = 900

    Hence, the sum of the smallest number and biggest number = 900
