Two trains start at the same time from Aligarh and Delhi and proceed towards each other at the rate at the rate of 14 km and 21 km per hour respectively. When they meet, it is found that one train has travelled 70 km more than the other. The distance between two station is

    Answer is 350 km.

    Explanation:-
    A _________X________M_________________(X+70)______________D
    Let distance is (2X + 70) Km.
    In whole, Journey, Time remain same for the both trains,
    So, Speed of Delhi train /Speed of Aligarh train,
    = Distance covered by Delhi train/ Distance covered by Aligarh train.
    21/14 = (X +70)/X
    21X = 14X + 980
    7X = 980
    X = 140
    Total Distance = 2X + 70 = 2 x 140 + 70 = 350 km.

    Then, the distance between two station is 350 km. 

    Hence, the correct answer is option (4) 350 km.
