If the perimeter of a semicircle is 72 cm, what will be the area of that semicircle?

    Answer: (3) 308 sq.cm
    Explanation:-
    The perimeter of a semicircle = 72 cm
    Formula-
    Perimeter of the semicircle = pai x r + 2 r
    Where, r = radius of circle.
    Then,    pai x r + 2 r = 72
    r (pai + 2) = 72
    r (22/7 + 2) = 72
    r (22 + 14 )/7 = 72
    r = 72 x  7/36
    r = 2 x 7
    r = 14 cm
    Formula-
    Area of the semicircle = pai x r2/2
    Where, r = radius of the circle
    Then, The area of the semicircle = pai x (14)2/2
    = 22 x 14 x 14 /7 x 2
    = 22 x 28/2
    = 616/2
    = 308 sq.cm.
    Hence,the answer is (2) 308 sq.cm.
