United Nations Day

Every year 24th October is celebrated as United Nations Day. The United Nations General Assembly in 1948 designated 24th of October, the anniversary of the Charter of the United Nations, as United Nations Day. United nations day is part of United Nations Week, which runs from 20 to 26 October.

You know that the main purpose of the United Nations is to keep peace throughout the world and other purposes are created friendly relations, to assist nations in encouraging human rights, helping the poor, and improving hunger, diseases and literacy.
