What is the Capital of India
New Delhi is the capital of India, Officially the National Capital Territory of Delhi. In 1911, it was announced that the Capital of British held territories in India was to be transposition from Calcutta to Delhi, and the New Delhi name was given in 1927. It was inaugurated on 13 February 1931. On 1st Feb 1992 New Delhi became a state, under the national capital territory Act.
