Diamond is an allotropic form of Carbon ,

Diamond is made up of repeating units of carbon atoms joined to four other carbon atoms and formed covalent bonds between the same atoms formed  a strongest linkage .

The structural unit of diamond is consists of 8 atoms ,in the cube shape.

Diamond do not conduct electricity  well due to it have no free electrons, diamond can be burns if it is placed in any high temperature in the presence of oxygen or air.

Diamond has the high reflectance and index of reflection of any transparent substances.
