How many bricks, each of dimensions 25 cm x 16 cm x 10 cm will be needed to build a wall 24 m long, 6m high and 0.4 m thick

    Answer: (a) 14400

    Solution:-
    The dimensions of a brick = 25 cm, 16 cm and 10 cm
    Then, the volume of a brick = 25 x 16 x 10
    = 4000 cm^3

    The dimensions of a wall = 24 m, 6 m and 0.4 m
    Then, volume of the wall = 24 x 6 x 0.4
    = 57.6 m^3
    = 57600000 cm^3

    So, the number of bricks to built the wall = 57600000/4000
    = 14400

    Hence, the correct answer is option (a) 14400.
