    Raniganj Coalfield is primarily located in the Asansol and Durgapur subdivisions of Bardhaman district in the Indian state of West Bengal. The main storm center of coal in India are the West Bengal region, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha and Andhra Pradesh. Odisha account for around 13.4% of the country’s total production.
