In fourth week of June 2015, a pact on waste management was signed between two entrepreneurs and several civic bodies in Assam. Satyaki Saikia and Pulak Roy have signed agreements with several civic bodies in the state to do away with the hazards of plastics under a solid-waste management project. The purpose of the project is to save society from hazards and pollution generate by the huge amount of increasing municipality solid waste.
