Parenchyma that stores unwanted or ergastic substance is known as Idioblast. Idioblast is a plant cell that differs markedly from neighboring cells, for example crystal-containing cells are ‘crystal idioblasts’. There are many types of idioblast and they can be found throughout the plant, being in the internal layers or in the epidermis.
