A and B entered into a partnership investing Rs.16000 and Rs.12000 respectively. After 3 months, A withdrew Rs.5000 while B invested Rs.5000 more After 3 more months C joins the business with a capital of Rs.21000. The share of B exceeds that of C, out of a total profit of Rs.26400 after 1 year by

    Answer:  (2) Rs. 3600

    Explanation:-
    The ratio of A, B, and C = (16000 x 3 + 11000 x 9) : (12000 x 3 + 17000 x 9) :  (21000 x 6)
    = (48000 + 99000) : (36000 + 153000) : (126000)
    = 147000 : 189000 : 126000
    = 147 : 189 : 126
    Part of B exceeds C by  = (189 – 126) x 26400/462
    = 3600

    Hence, the answer is (2) Rs. 3600.
