    Rajya Sabha has the power to remove the vice president from his post before the completion of this tenure. It is the upper house of the parliament of the India. Rajya Sabha should not be consists of more than 250 members. 238 members are elected by the states and 12 members are nominated by the president of India. The vice- president is the ex- office chairman of Raya Sabha. It shares the legislative power with the Lok Sabha. 

    The first Rajya Sabha meeting held on 13 May, 1952. The official period of Rajaya Sabha  is six years.
