    Bhitari Pillar Inscriptin

From the Bhitari Pillar Inscription it is known that Skandagupta defeated hunas. The Junagarh and Bhitari pillar inscriptions were the main sources,  which throw light on the reign and conquest of the king. Skandagupta (455- 467 AD) had to fight with his adversaries to retain domination of the Gupta Empire in India.
After the death of Kumara Gupta l, Skanda Gupta ascended the Gupta throne . He was the ruler of northern India from Kathiawar  in the west Bengal in the east.
