Charan Singh was the first Prime minister who had resigned without attending parliament session.
He was born in Noorpur, Hapur, Uttar Pradesh in india on 23 December 1902. He received a Masters of Arts (MA) degree in 1925. He was elected as the member of Lagislative assembly of Uttar Pradesh in February 1937. In 1967, he elected as the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh.
He elected as the home minister and finance minister of India in 1979. He was the founder of NABARD (National Bank of Agriculture and rural development). He became the seventh prime minister of India from 28th July 1979 to 14th January 1980.
He was died on 29th May 1987.
