    Answer: State emblem is an adaptation from the Lauria Nandangard Lion Capital

    The National Flag of India is in a tricolor designed by Pingali Vendayya that adopted on July 22 1947, first of deep saffron at the top white in the middle and dark green at the bottom in equal proportions. The ratio of the width to the length of the flag is two is to three (2:3). In the center of the white band, there is a wheel in a navy blue to indicate the Dharma Chakra, the wheel of law in the Sarnath Lion Capital. It’s the ‘Tiranga’.
